Impact + Programs

Our Work & Events

YAC is a youth-led program of API Legal Outreach (APILO), founded in 1975.

What We Do

YAC is a Cultural Organizing Hub.

That means we use art, media, and storytelling to change how people think and act. We create space for youth most impacted by structural harm — including racism, gender-based violence, gentrification, policing, and immigration enforcement. We build power in relationship with elders and the histories of the Bay Area.

Art & Media

We produce zines, films, murals, and other cultural works that document our communities and challenge dominant narratives.

Advocacy & Workshops

We host healing gatherings and political education workshops rooted in the lived experiences of API youth and their communities.

Intergenerational Power

We build power in relationship with elders, histories, and movements across the Bay Area — bridging generations through story and action.
